Let's talk about yummy Ukrainian food. In Ukraine, food is about family, friends, and sharing. Let’s learn about some famous dishes!Have you ever seen a red soup? This is borscht! It is a very famous soup in Ukraine. The beautiful red color comes from a vegetable called beetroot. Borscht is warm and so tasty. We love to eat it with a spoon of white sour cream on top.Varenyky are little dumplings. They look like soft white pockets. Inside, you can find potatoes, cheese, or sweet fruits like cherries. If they have potatoes, we eat them with sour cream. If they have fruit, we eat them with sugar or honey. Yummy!

Holubtsi are cabbage rolls. They are soft cabbage leaves with yummy rice and meat inside. They are cooked in a tasty white sauce. They are very warm and good for a big family dinner.

Do you like pancakes? Then you will love syrnyky! They are small, sweet cheese pancakes. People in Ukraine love to eat syrnyky for breakfast. We eat them with sweet jam or honey. They are fluffy and delicious!
